No vendemos tus datos

Ni los compartimos con nadie.

Datos que se guardan en tu teléfono

Tus aparatos

Tu voz

Cuenta Tuya / Smart Life · opcional

Lumy PC tampoco envía datos a Vareoz.

Effective November 5, 2026 · Lumy for Android (com.vareoz.lumy) and Lumy PC

Lumy controls your home's lights, LED strips, TV and computer from your phone. Here is what data it uses, where it stays, when it leaves your phone and how to delete it.

The app is in Spanish, so menu names are given in Spanish.

Summary

No accounts

No sign-up and no sign-in.

No ads, no trackers

No analytics or crash reporting either.

Everything stays on your phone

Vareoz runs no servers for Lumy and does not receive your data.

Straight to your devices

Over Bluetooth and your Wi-Fi network, without the internet.

Internet only when you use it

For your Tuya / Smart Life devices, an AI model you configure, your phone's speech recognition and purchases through Google Play.

We don't sell your data

Nor share it with anyone.

Data stored on your phone

Your devices

Name, type, network or Bluetooth address, their access keys (such as a Tuya light's local key or the pairing with your TV or PC), room and placement. To find and control them.

To delete: remove the device in the app.

Rooms, scenes, routines, schedules and settings

So your home works the way you set it up.

To delete: edit or delete them in the app.

Alerts and replies to your voice

To show you what happened at home.

To delete: Ajustes → Privacidad → Historial de voz (Settings → Privacy → Voice history).

Only if you type them. To greet you in the app; never sent anywhere.

To delete: edit them in your profile.

Tuya and AI model credentials

Only if you set them up. To connect to those services when you ask.

To delete: Ajustes → Avanzado → Cuenta Tuya / Smart Life and Ajustes → Avanzado → Asistente del teléfono y voz.

AI control token

Protects that service on your local network.

Generate a new one in Ajustes → Avanzado → Control por IA.

Whether you have Lumy Plus

Google Play's answer, to know which features to turn on.

Google Play is asked again.

Lumy keeps them in its private storage, which other apps cannot read. Everything is deleted when you uninstall Lumy or clear its data in Android settings. Lumy opts out of Android backup: this data is not uploaded to your cloud backup.

Permissions it asks for

Bluetooth and nearby devices

To find and control Bluetooth lights and strips, and to use the phone as a TV mouse.

Location

Android requires it to scan for Bluetooth devices and read your Wi-Fi name when adding a device. Lumy does not store or send it and never uses it in the background.

Microphone

For voice commands (see “Your voice”).

Notifications

App alerts and the notice Android requires while Lumy listens for “Lumy” or keeps AI control running.

Network, Wi-Fi and startup

To talk to your devices over your network and, if you enabled listening or AI control, to turn them back on when the phone restarts.

Lumy does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, files, calls or messages.

Your voice

The word “Lumy”PLUS

It is recognized on the phone, offline. While it is on, Lumy listens to the microphone only to detect it and shows a notification. That audio is not recorded, stored or sent off the phone.

The command you say next

Your phone's speech recognition (for example Google's) turns it into text; it may use the internet if the language is not downloaded and is governed by its provider's policy. Lumy only receives the text.

Lumy as your phone's assistantPLUS

Android may offer it the screen content when it opens. Lumy does not read, store or send it; it only opens its voice window.

When something leaves your phone

Your devices

Commands go straight to your lights, TV and PC over Bluetooth or your local network, without the internet.

Tuya / Smart Life account · optional

If you connect it, Lumy uses your Tuya project credentials to ask Tuya, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, for your device list and keys. That data stays on your phone. What happens on Tuya's servers is governed by Tuya's policy.

External AI model · optional

Off when installed. If you configure one, on your network or in the cloud, the text of your commands is sent to it to be interpreted. You choose it, and it is governed by that provider's policy.

Google Play

For Lumy Plus purchases and to open Lumy's store page.

Purchases

Lumy Plus is optionalPLUS

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play with your Google account: Lumy never sees or stores your payment details. To know whether you have Plus, the app asks Google Play on your phone and keeps the answer there; it is not sent to any Vareoz server. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play, and billing is governed by Google's policies.

More details

AI control on your local networkPLUS

Off by default. If you turn it on, Lumy opens a token-protected service on your local network so the assistants you connect can see and control your devices. Lumy does not expose it to the internet, and what those assistants do with the information is governed by their own policies.

Lumy PC

The Windows program talks to the phone only on your local network, through an encrypted link you approve on the PC. The link keys are stored on the phone and, encrypted, on the PC. Lumy PC does not send data to Vareoz either.

Retention and deletion

They stay on your phone while Lumy is installed, and you control them: delete items one by one in the app, all at once by clearing Lumy's data in Android settings, or by uninstalling it. Since Vareoz does not receive or store your data, there is nothing to ask us to delete. For data held by Tuya, Google or your AI provider, contact that service.

Security

Internet connections use HTTPS. With your Android TV and with Lumy PC, Lumy uses encrypted connections inside your network. Your device keys stay in the app's private storage and are not included in backups.

Children

Lumy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes to this policy

If it changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.
